Mark Splinter - Mark is our General Manager.  He earned bachelors degrees in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.  Mark has also earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Reinsurance designations. Previously he was Vice President in charge of Reinsurance Operations for Wisconsin Reinsurance Corporation, Assistant General Manager of Wausau Stettin for 13 years and Senior Underwriter at Sentry Insurance for 10 years.  Mark is the recipient of the 2003 Merit Award from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies for his involvement and contribution to the mutual industry.  Mark is married and has two sons.

Jim Schoneman - Jim is our Claims Manager and also our Assistant Manager.  He was born and raised in New Jersey but has spent the last 30 years or so in Wisconsin.  He worked field claims for over 20 years with two large commercial insurers, and now is enjoying the advantages of working for a smaller company with local customers. Jim is married and has two sons.  When not on the job you can usually find him either in his workshop or in his canoe.

Dennis Vujnovich - Dennis moved to Wausau area 20 yrs ago and started at Wausau Stettin February 28,2005. Dennis has an extensive background in remodeling and construction and was self employed for seven years. He has three wonderful daughters, and enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and traveling. He enjoys his job and thinks the staff here is great!

Angie Sprague - Angie was born and raised in Central Wisconsin and began her employment with Wausau Stettin in December of 2007.  Prior to joining our family she was employed as Operations Manager for Mobile Cleaning and Restoration.  In that position she was responsible for organizing and expediting residential and commercial fire and water damage restoration projects.  Angie came to Wausau Stettin with significant experience in customer service and claims related issues.  Her knowledge, people skills and work ethic are a valuable asset to our claims department. Angie and her husband, Bill, enjoy traveling, snowmobiling, hunting, camping and spending time with their dog, Brewzer.  Angie is excited to be a part of the Claims Department and finds it is a welcoming and friendly environment to work in.

Trish Jicinsky (TJ) - Trish Jicinsky has lived in the Wausau area all of her life, and has worked for Wausau-Stettin since 1990.  Trish assists the claims adjusters by setting up new claims and processing claims from open to close, gathering various information for claims and company claim reports.  Trish enjoys the variety of tasks working for a small company offers.

Underwriting

Nancy Frostman - Nancy Frostman started her insurance career in 1984.  She worked for two major insurance companies before coming to Wausau-Stettin in 2001.  Nancy has her Associate of Insurance and her IIA General Principles of Insurance.  Nancy grew up in central Wisconsin on a dairy farm, and currently lives in Wausau with her husband and two young children that keep her very busy.  

Sue Gearin - Sue is the latest addition to our Underwriting Staff, starting in October of 2005.  Sue was a Personal Lines CSR/Agent in the Waupaca and Stevens Point area for eight years.  She has one daughter and has lived all over the world, but calls Wisconsin home.  She enjoyed working with Wausau-Stettin as an agent and now really enjoys working with the WSMIC staff as an Underwriter.

Kathy Frederick - Kathy is an Underwriting Assistant.  She is a graduate of the University of Stevens Point and comes to us with a varied background in retail, customer service, and office experience.  She enjoys the small office setting most because of the variety it offers.  Kathy is married with two grown children and one beautiful granddaughter.

Policy Processing

Lynn Jensen - Lynn is our most tenured employee here at Wausau-Stettin, beginning with the company in 1985.  Her duties include, but are not limited to accounts payable, answering the telephone, and policy processing.  Away from work Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, camping, making maple syrup, and time at her cabin in the woods.

Chris Meurett - Chris started with Wausau-Stettin Mutual in April of 2005.  Her main duties are accounts receivable and processing.  She has worked with personal lines of insurance for the last 3 1/2 years and is a Licensed Resident Intermediary.  Chris has also had many years of administrative duties in large companies.  She enjoys a smaller company and the variety of duties.

Kathy Skalecke - Kathy was lucky enough to grow up around the world, and settled in central Wisconsin in 1961.She started with Wausau-Stettin in 1990.  Among her duties are processing, general ledger, and bookkeeping.

Cheryl Zimmermann - Cheryl was previously employed as an administrative assistant with the North Wisconsin District Office of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  She came to Wausau-Stettin in February 2006 where she does policy processing, updating the website and forms, and prepare the newsletter for publication.  Cheryl was born and raised in the Athens area on a dairy farm in the township of Rib Falls.  She enjoys entering articles at the Wisconsin Valley Fair and singing in her church choir. 

Our Part Time Staff

Carol Clark - Carol has been with Wausau-Stettin for over 14 years.  In 2005 she decided to go part time working three days a week.  She helps the underwriting department on special projects such as rolling over the old books of business to the newer Wausau-Stettin program. 

Ray Baine - Ray joined the Wausau-Stettin family in September 2003, after retiring from Wausau Insurance Companies where he had spent 35 years as a Systems Analyst.  His primary responsibilities at Wausau-Stettin include the development of property inspection material for the various inspectors, the pick-up and processing of the daily mail, and the processing of the film generated during the inspection process.
